Help with connecting Studio One and Presonus

This is my first posting on the forum. I'm an old skool kat from NYC. I have DJ for years... lost all my records due to my old age and not think I was going to have a need for them... long story. I now have a MPC 2500. great machine .. love it. I have banged on it for 4 years with all the same issue you guy had or have. The forums has been great with help just by reading posting.

Here my issue... now that I have a few beat in the bank I'm ready to lay some vocals to them. I didn't want to spend a whole lot on a DAW and PRO TOOLS. So I let the guy at GC talk me into "Presonus and Studio One" I got it home tried to follow the steps to hook it up. I was able to get it to work one time, where the sound for Studio one was sent to the MPC and I was able to send the track back to studio one after fool around with for days. In Studio One under Akai they don’t have any listing for MPC 2500… So I don’t know which setting to us. And yes I tried a lot.


Issues:
1. What is the correct way to hook up the MPC, bull shit keyboard (Casio) with MIDDI IN AND OUT, and the Presonus studio one. so all can work and tighter?
2.How do I record into the Studio One? More then one track. (I.E sounds from Studio One to MPC, sound from Keyboard middi to MPC back into Studio One for recording)?

The "best way" is to read the manuals that came with the stuff you bought. The follow the part on "syncing" and setting up slave and master controller. In a nit shell, thats the best way.

Other way is. Write on paper your idea and goal. Draw the signal path to reach goal. Impliment goal.

Worst way.. not telling computer,interface,controller, or cabels on hand. Not telling us what you tried and failed at prior to asking us to fly to your house and set it up for you.

Thank you for your reply... And yes Before I post this question I did read the manual on both the MPC and the Presonus.
And I think I have all the cables I need
4 set of Middi cable
1 1/4 inch male plug
RCA wires
I have tried a lot of combination. I can get the keyboard and MPC working fine. I understand single flow and have my MIDDI out and in right. I think my issue is with the Presonus Aubiobox USB and the MPC working together.
In a master \ slave syncing which one will be the master and who the slave.. And what are the setting that I will need for them to talk to each other.

List for me theae things and i will see if i can help you get going.

Interface (presonis audiobox)
Keyboard and model...midi out? Rca out? Usb?
Monitors or desktop speakers?

Goals. Trying to audio into mpc? Into computer? Both? Casio into mpc? Computer?

Oooo nice I finally found a post that can relate to my situation.

same setup with out the Casio, only problem now I'm trying to fix is that the Button assignments are all scattered. Tried to make them in order just like the 500's setup. Is there a way to make it as if the 500 button assignments on the Studio One?

As I just fell prey to the guys at Guitar Center evangelizing Studio One and purchased it this weekend I was curious to know if you guys had any success figuring out a solution here. I've got a Dell Inspiron laptop with windows 7, a 1000 with JJOS version 1 4.99, got the Presonus audio box and desktop speakers (no midi keyboard). I've flipped through the manual and after looking at the tutorial vid I'm running into the same issue with trying to midi up the mpc 1000. Is there somewhere else I can look or something else I can try? Does Presonus have any kind of forum or help available?
