s900 out to mpc record-in left. set thru to 'on', 'analog' and input to 'left'. now your 900 will play in stereo through your mpc.

the manual has a series of hook-up diagrams. one of them might be helpful.

Nope. It will play thru both speakers (left and right) but it wont be stereo. I can run my mixer outs to 3 amps with 5 speakers but still havn't surround sound. ya dig.

All you have to do is split the mono out (1 channel) to stereo input (2 channels.) You can use an audio mixer of course, but here's much simpler solution:

1/4" Stereo Jack to 1/4" Mono Plug Headphone Adapter

with this adapter, use a TRS patch cable. Plug in this adapter to S900 (mono output) to stereo output.
