Midi problems

Please can some one help im trying to set up a roland gaia sh01 to my mpc 5000, everything is fine except some of the keys trigger the mpc pads, how can i stop this? ive tried everything i have both manuals, even the beat making on the mpc5000 book, ive looked on you tube google.

just use a midi keyboard

hook up the midi keyboard to the in of your mpc and one of the outs to the roland

u CAN record knob changes u know this may not trigger the pads

(or just use an empty program just for the roland this way it wont play anything)

I'm not sure it will work, but try to change the midi track in your MPC on the main screen. Like for example if it's on 1A, try 1B or 2A...
