mc 303 and cash or electribe emx1?

Um, it just doesn't seem like a fair trade, when you are getting Electribe plus $150 for giving up Motif 6. Don't get me wrong, Electribe EMX should be fun to play with (although I've never played with it), I heard that those Electribes are noisy, because of the valves. (if I get electribe EMX/ESX, probably I'll mod it to bypass the tubes.)

There is a user comment that says Motif classic sounded better than Motif ES. I know close to nothing about synth and keyboards, but can't you get new sounds by downloading patches? What am I missing?
