Hi ASR10 GURUS, I had my asr10 since day one it came out. Recently I bought a zip drive and when I hooked it up and did something weird to my asr10, I think the zip was bad, so I tossed the zip drive since it didn't have a termination switch?, but now it will boot off my floppy, and the same boot disk has a bank and it will only load a couple of instruments instead of all of them and gives me a message disk not formatted?, even though it's the boot disk. and any other floppy it will say disk not formatted, I think something the zip drive did to it since it didn't have a channel select switch. usually 6 is what I used in the past when I had a previous zip drive. HELP me reset the Prom or whatever I have to do . THANKS YOU SO MUCH FOR BEING OUT THERE READY TO HELP. Have a great week.

Well if you've had the ASR since 1992ish it's probably deserving of a good service.

Assuming you haven't been living in a cave for the past twenty years you should know about all the problems caused by zip drives/ discs bailing out and corrupting any data within sight...

Treat yourself to a new boot disc, a card reader, and back up your zip discs while you still can.

Bring that beast of a machine into the 21st century...
