Logic as sound module

So I followed Clint's tutorial and I have everything working except when I go to record on my mpc the I cant hear the metronome?

What tutorial?

yer supposed to be hearing the metronome in logic.

turn it on there.

or hook up yer mpc outputs to yer mixer / speakers / interface whatever you do normally to, you know, hear yer mpc, and listen to the metronome from it.

Got the metronome by opening an audio track. Now I dont know if this is a stupid question, but the track that I created on my mpc by triggering a synth from Logic. Now I want to record it back into logic. My question is if its a software instrument to begin with can it be recorded into audio when its coming from the mpc. I can only get it to be recorded back as midi on the track.
