Extra's for the MPC 1000

Yes, yes, another question, I hope it will be my last one so I can fully enjoy this machine.

I need a synthesizer (I hope I named it right) for the MPC, to play bass on, I just need a pure bass sound, a good one..
I hope you guys can name a few as your recomendation, as I can't find anything like this on the professional music stores here...

Get a synth if you want to, but you don't need one just to do bass. There are a few threads on this forum about creating a good bass sound with just the MPC,

define "pure bass" .

shopping for mpc's is a piece of piss compared to shopping for a synth, so things like what kind of sound you're after, what kind of music you're making and what kind of budget you have would make it easier for us to recommend something.

you've every kind of sound and budget out there, from monotrons and or monotribes which spit our nice fat analog bass for a couple hundred, to access's digital virus to vintage stuff like the sh-101 or sh-2 that go for about a grand, to some truly mind boggling pieces of gear with astronomical prices.

i tend to favor the roland sh-2, sounds like a bass sampled from vinyl, its round, smooth and buttery,... kinda like wisdom's avatar .

Thanks for all the replies, I looked all the sugestions you gave up on the internet, shit is pretty expensive.
I'm going the cheap route on this one, following Lampdog's advice, but without the midi keyboard, just with the pads, it worked out great enough.. takes a while to find the correct note though, but if I ever get rich.. lol.
