It's always nice to check out other setups but this is really important for me cos I need to see how to integrate an MPC2000xl (or perhaps 3000) into my setup. The thing I need to know most is how to run the MPC from VST (and DP3) - so if anyone would like to give me some guidance ....
Here's my gear.
Mac G3 Running VST, Audiowerk card, midiman USB interface. New snow imac with broadband for surfing porn and such.
Allen and Heath 20:8:2 mixer and a Mackie 1402 VLZ PRO sub mixer
Tascam DA20 MKII
Marantz CDR630 CDR
Sony "net" MD (the most important 2-track I have!)
Focusrite Com,pounder
Dbx 266xl comp
TC 2240 EQ
HD-35 mastering EQ
EMU ESI4000 sampler
Genelec 1029A + 1091A sub
MkI stylophone (can I have it back Jaffa?)
Various synths, effects units, enhancers, compressors, pedals, , mics, broken sh*t and lots of records for sampling (mostly old roots, rare goove and hip hop).
By getting an MPC I hope to be able top free up my samplers outputs for vocal samples, pads, b-lines etc and use the MPC for all my drums and perc.
