Center speaker - Placing

Hi guys..

I bought today a center speaker to monitor my MPC (together with my Left and right monitors) and I connect him onto the same connections as my L&R monitors so I hear the same sound but then in front of me..

now I don't have any space left on my desk so I was thinking to put a wooden bar on top of my speakers (a bridge effect) and then place the center speaker in the middle of that..

but would the bar affect the sound??

for it not to effect the sound, put the bar near the back of the speakers, not near the front. u might be able 2 do that. try it. peacesy[/color]
