Turntable question

I got an amp(receiver) at a thrift store for $75 it is 300 watts. old school wooden sides with great transistors in it. Analog dials and all. The good thing about the Stanton deck is that you can plug it straight into a computer or the SPDIF input of your MPC for sampling because it has a switch for Lineor Mic level.
I use the amp as the go between for the mixer and my monitors or my multitrack mixer. I am a Stanton warrior!

I'm sorry I'm bad with electronic devices and I really need help here.
Is there anything I could hook all my equipment without buying preamp and audio interface seperately? I need preamp for the TT and audio interface for MPC, computer, speakers and turntable to work together.

most audio interfaces usually come with at least 1-2 preamps so you could utilze that...but just about any type of pre-amp with phono input and stereo output will work..phono input is the magic word...

Computer --> USB
Monitors --> Output L + R
and MPC --> Input L + R

Is that correct? Would it work?

that is correct, although in the above configuration you'll only be able to sample to the computer. if you want to sample directly to the mpc you will need seprate dedicated phono preamp

because you're utlizing interfaces pre-amps signal will get routed to your computer and monitor speakers...unless the interface had two sets of outputs that can be configured internally using software patchbay to reroute phono inputs to the extra set of outputs which would connect to your mpc's recording/sampling inputs...hope I make sense

Yes you make perfect sense.
I'm just trying to figure out if I could route the pre-amp signal to the MPC.

Look at the pictures, if I'd put the turntable on phono channel 3/4 on the front, and MPC on the Digital Output Ch. 3/4 would it work then?

Its hard to say how effectvie that thing would be for the purposes you have by looking at the pics.

you gotta dig up a manual for it (i found one but it my internet is being a dick and its gonna take forever to load) at:

and see if the phono input can be routed directly to one of the outputs (before it gets converted to digital) so that can be sent to the mpc, which can then continue through to one of the other inputs. which is doubtful cos thats not generally how those interfaces work.

In which case you would be making life very hard for yourself any time you want to sameple cos you will need to have software running to manage the routing, not to mention annoying latencies and switching between being able to hear your MPC and the turntable.

also it would mean any time you want to sample on your mpc you would need to have a computer running. which is a killer of productivity and general fun in my books. your life will be much easier if you pick up any cheap pre amp (either specifc preamp or part of a hi-fi amp of some kind) and just think of it as an extension of the turntable. if you buy second hand you can always sell it for a better one in the future and get your money back...

and if you really want one integrated unit.. maybe MPC renaissance?
