Did you track out multiple tracks at once with this?

Yeah, I would run all 8 mpc outs or 6 mp outs and 2 from my motif or micro korg(depending on the time frame). The aux send and returns come in handy, and I sometimes used the multiple outs when I went on digging excursions. What I mean is I usually dig through records while I'm watching sports or playing a video games, just put the records on and let them play, when I hear something I like I would record to a vinyl rip folder and save it for when I have time to make music. When that time came I would use the digital I/O to sample into the 2500 with with the main outs of the Firestudio to the monitors, and if I was using an older model mpc I would use the other outs to run the sample into the mpc. The routing matrix allowed me to make sure the outs running into the mpc were not being fed back to the interface via any of the mpc outs

I used both Cubase, and then Reason (after the audio track update) to multi track in and never once had an issue.

Man, you have no idea how much easier it is to understand someone when they use a personalized example of their own setup.

This is dope, and pretty much exactly what i would do. i have come to the conclusion that for an extra input, i can live with plugging one XLR cable in and out when i need to (my mic).

Reading into these units and seeing how easy they are to daisy chain makes me pretty keen on something like this, i know its not the best solution, but it will get me heading down the right track / allow expansion without having to swap my entire gear over.
