aite..i jus recently got a pair of M-AUDIO BX5 studio monitors, and i can't seem to get them playing at the same time thru my mixer. i have a rane ttm 56 mixer. heres how im connecting them:
im connecting each speaker with an XLR balanced to the main output of my mixer, balanced, with a balanced cable. so that goes for both speakers, one going to the left out and one to the right out of my mixer. all balanced
the problem:
i only get sound out of the left speaker. the right comes in very faintly. i did madd tests and concluded that my mixer outputs aren't broken, the cables are fine, the speakers are fine....theres something im doing wrong. im thinking maybe i have the wrong type of cables? are there such thing as BALANCED MONO jacks??? cuz maybe thats wut i need...im really ignorant wen it comes to this stuff, and i cnat seem to figure this stuff out. someone please help me!
