Sorry if repost. Didn't read through this thread :fku:

just wanted to say thanks for this... I often heard people saying these are good... some had complaints... but either way, at that price I bought a pair just to see for myself.

for sure... at that price I didn't even look into what the "with CCAW Voice Coil" meant.. I mean I know what a voice coil is, but I have no idea what the significance is... is this an after market thing or an upgraded one on a new series...

 I see the price went up 20bucks.

According to this post below the Voice Coil is upgraded from Standard Copper Wire to Copper Clad Aluminum Wire (CCAW).

Answer:
It stands for Copper Clad Aluminum Wire. Makes for lighter voice coils with larger diameter wire and potentially better sensitivity (but not always).

Answer:
If standard V-6's have copper wire voice coils then yes, they will be different. There's no way around it. May not be a big difference, depending on the engineering.

haha... alright.. well to me, it doesn't sound like an "upgrade" ... it sounds like a cost saving measure. I could be wrong.... but it sounds like they went from copper to copper plated hahaha..

True indeed. I'll have to research that a bit more myself, but reviews are good for those phones so all in all they should be great. 8)

agreed... I am probably going to pick up another set I already have my eyes on... I forget the model but I tested a bunch of pair at a local recording equipment shop
