I've demoed it before. Its good. Are you gigging or using it for a home studio setup? Its much better if you plan on gigging. If you are stuck at home producing, just get a decent i7 tower and throw in an RME audio interface and you are good.

I owned one for about a year.

1) For what it does - it does it very well. Ok, we're basically talking about a linux box but its always good to use VSTs with no latency (I didn't have a powerful PC at the time).

2) You buying one new ? Then be prepared to pay a lot of money. This is (in my opinion) the big issue with it.

3) I wish to god there was a sequencer with it, I'd have still kept mine. Instead I ended up selling mine and getting an mpc 2500 with the money.

I'd say v00d00ppl was dead right about gigging/home studio use. If you're going to take it on the road - its a winner. But if its going to stay on a table at home- really, there are better uses for your money (I'd have said a mac and focusrite interface) but hey its Christmas so you can take your pick..
