What are the BEST Sounding Samplers?? (NON-12bit)

Who wopuld you say makes the BEST sound sampler?? The Cretria I using
Fullness in Replicating Sound,Fullness in all the Frequencies (Esp low freq),
And in WARMTH OF SOUND. Don't Forget Loudness



Once again, help me out!

akai s5000 and s6000s, Emu esi 4000s, uh my new joint the yahama a5000. the yahama is the richist fullest soundin sample i have heard.

I like the emu's best, although i don't own one. I have two yamaha's and an s1000 now.

Anything by Akai that is 16bit (or more) sound pretty accurate.
There may be small differences in what frequencies stand out (for example, some of the rack ones [S2000, S3000xl] don't kick as much low end as the MPCs), but with an EQ, you can make them all sound good.

As far as "warmth" goes, you can create warmth by using tube pre-amps or sampling onto tape before you go into your sampler, etc. etc.
There are many ways to color the sound to your liking.....eq, filters, etc.

The Yamaha samplers (A5000/4000) are amazing in terms of sound design capability. They can be a hassle if you're used to akai style programming tho.
They handly orchestral samples beautifully, and probably color the sound less than any other sampler I've heard. (admittedly I haven't used emu samplers)

emu's are the hottest sounding samplers imo... the filters are...i love my mpc and the sound is hot but emu's filters are just too good to be true... they ooooooze warmth.... no doubt...

yeah the a5000 is no joke. lots of editin and cool features. it is a little hassle to set up but when u learn how to auto arrange shit its easy.
