i use a 2ndhand focusrite saffire 6 on a core i5 and have zero complaints as far. usb, 4 outs, 2 ins, great pres, and even a midi i/o.

I brought and sold the akai eie, got a duo capture ex for a very good price.

The eie is garbage, I had so many problems with it which I never encountered before, great features on paper but hated this device.
