Does anyone else have serious issues with Windows 8 and music software? I have this Samsung touch screen and its taken me 24 hours to get machine, and komplete installed and set up, yet after more hours of pulling my hair out I can't get the Komplete plugins to load in Maschine. They DID load, because I used Massive in Maschine on a track I was working on, but then when I reloaded he project it says the Massive plugin can not be found.

Complete bullshit Windows 8 is. Its slow as ****, even though I have an i5 processor and 8 GB ram it still takes 2 minutes to boot, sometimes more. Programs load very slow. What a mess.

I'm downgrading to Windows 7 today. I'll lose the touch screen capabilities, but I never used them anyway so **** it.

Roll on Monday when I get my new iMac. Sick of this Windows shit.

I think the touch may be more of the issue than the OS. I bought a new laptop when I got my mpc studio I notice many of the 'new' laptops that came with 8 were touch and I intentionally made sure to get one without and have no issues with
any of my apps. I only komplete elements and other VSTs but no issues with any of them.

I agree that if it sux to try it on 7 or disable the touch function and startup services behind it and give it a go.

curious to see how it works for U whether U stick with 8 or go back to 7 but wish U success

I burnt a copy of Windows 7 Untouched, but I need to go get a wired keyboard because the wireless keyboard don't work in the installer. I think it should be fine though. Will grab one from Asda in a bit.

Yep. I got a generic Dell core i7 with 64 bit win 8 and its boots up fast and runs mpc software fine.

That's WZUP bro... Someone else would have said it was the MPC or the MpC software, but if was the Micro$oftware that hosts those things...

I still admit I like my Win8 for what I use it for and think more of youre issue may have been the win8 touch.

Glad you're back in biz

I have no idea what it was, but I've not had a single issue with it since installing Windows 7, so I'm happy :D I actually still have touch in Windows 7 although I never use it. The screen is to far back for me to use it properly anyway lol.

But yeah, the whole Windows 8 layout did not appeal to me sadly :( Going back to Mac on Monday when the new iMac arrives.
