Hey guys,
So I have been using the Virus TI as a multi-timbral instrument in Logic for a while now, and have recently brought a TR8 (which I gotta say is worth every penny).
I have been trying to use the TR8 via USB, not just for its audio outs, but also for MIDI clock, which works great.
My only issue is with the TR8 sending its MIDI out, in turn triggering the corresponding MIDI notes of the Virus. So for example if I create a pattern on the TR8 and any of the 16 multi-timbral tracks of the Virus are selected within Logic, I will get notes from the synth played in correspondence with the matching MIDI notes of the TR8 pattern.
Now I understand that I can just deselect the Virus tracks within Logic when the TR8 is played, but what I need to be able to do ideally, is play the keys as the TR8 is playing, which with this problem just isn't happening as the Virus tracks need to be selected in order to play them in realtime
So my question is really just to ask if anyone can suggest any possible fixes for this issue which I'm sure others have encountered when using multiple USB MIDI devices.
