Keep your ish together, say I'm sequencing from the MPC, I got a bass line running of the s950 and a couple bleeps here and there from my JV880. Do you guys have any particular methods of keeping everything in check besides keeping a journal of song data.

And can you save the song/patch data on a module like the JV880, I got mine without a manual and noticed there are slots on the front but have no clue what the hell is going on with them. Thanks in advance.

you can save settings from a sound module by doing a 'midi dump' into the MPC. you will dump all the data into the MPC (like which instruments are on each midi track, effects, levels, pans....). Try and download a manual for your modules and look for info on a midi dump.

So basically I would be saving a midi file transferred through the existing midi connections to accompany my program/song file.
