What I'm looking to do is painlessly record vocal phrases on my mpc and move them straight to the media player for scratching in vocal cuts over my beats.

Avoiding computers and any mp3 conversion.

I figure if I buy a an SD to CF adapter or CF to USB flash drive this could easily be done. And I have seen these online so I know its possible.

The only problem is finding a deck that reads waves. Most only recognize mp3 and CDs but I'm trying to avoid the CD route cause that will slow down my work flow.

So far the only option I've found for under $400 is the Gemini cdj 700.

It looks nice and I'm sure will get the job done.

I would like something with a smaller footprint if possible and maybe smaller price tag.

Anyone use the Geminis or know of any other players with wav capability?
