i was wanted to know the best possible vocal mic i can get for around 3 -500 hundred bucks .peace

it depends, if you are looking for a dynamic mic you should check out the Sure SM58 (150$) or the Samson Qmic (100$) (i have the Qmic, and i like it). if you want to use a condensor you need phantom power. if you don't have it on your mixer you need to buy a seperate box (50$-100$). Samson has some good guality condensor mic's: C01 or C03 (100$-150$). if you want to spend more money, check AKG... I personaly like the Samson sound

I've been using the Shure KSM32 (around $500) for 5 years and it's been good to me . 4 LP's & 3 EP's and going from Cali to NY and back countless times later and I have no complaints . It's tuff and has a clean sound (I've heard it w/ Protools & sh!tty multi-tracks and through studio monitors to car speakers) . But if it was out when I bought my Shure I think I woulda got a Blue BabyBottle instead (same price) . I've also heard that those Studio Projects mics sound really good too (3 models from $100 - $500) .

get a akg condensor mic for $300 and then get a decent pre amp/tube
