Easy now,
I'm hookin up my MPC200xl in a lab runnin logic. Obviously, sequencin loops on the MPC is a priority but are there downloadable logic environments that allow logic to control the MPC via midi whilst still being able to program the loops on the MPC.

Any help appreciated,

Peece

i think its a called a midi cable and it syncs either devices clock to the other. or vice versa. I'd slave logic to the mpc, if you wanna do most your programming there. then you can program freely on the mpc. will controlling the transport of the logic song./

Logic is usually happier being the master rather than the slave here. You need to experiment with the various sync options on both mavhines to get it right.

Just have one midi cable. Don't use two to set up a handshake.

I'm guessing you have a Mac if you are using Logic. If you are having trouble getting midi clock out of Logic, try this to at least make sure a midi clock signal is coming out of your computer to your MPC
