Help On My Setup plz look at this!!!!!

yo i have been trying to make beats with computer software like fruity loops and cool edit pro but i cainbt seem to get the hand of it i was wondering if u guys could just post wa u use so i can save up money to purchuse some of this stuff to start making beats cause im in a fast need for this stuff plz reply

Get a hold of Computer Music Magazine. They have tutorials every month on Fruity Loops and other computer based programs. If you are in a hurry for beats then just search on the web for samples and beats. You can't just learn this stuff over night though. Good Luck.

MPC

ok so here is my point : i have an mpc Xl controlling an emu sampler and just want to say that you don't need an mpc even if it's the best sequencer ever to program a beat . i was using fruity loops for a long time and the last versions ( understand 4.0 ) are really really powerfull in term of programming > don't get me wrong , i'm not saying that it's the same than hardware samplers it's totally different but it still a good program in my opinion .I began making music with a pro 24 on an atari and a mirage ( then s950 , s1000 , peavey sx , s01 , s20 , remix 16) and i think the new generation should learn the basic concepts of sampling , synthesis before trying to do anything else .
One basic example a guy the other day told me that he gave up using fruity loops because he thought that the program was too limited .
After that i was watching him programing stuffs and realize that he didn't even know that if you pitch a sample down the tempo goes slower !!!!
Anyways , software music has pushed the barriers but for me it's like capitalism : the more you have doesn't equal the better you do and i think evryone in this forum agrees !!!

i think my point is that this is a damn MPC2000XL forum, why is he askin about fruityloops and software sequencers??? unless he's trying to use it in sync with the mpc which i doubt. 1
