Need Cool Edit Pro 2.0 MTC to Mpc settings!

Hey guys! I haven't been here in a while and I've only recently began to get the hang of complex sequencing with the Mpc 2000Xl. Now, I'm trying to mix my songs better prior to posting them on my soundclick site.

I have an internal Audigy Platinum soundcard and I've connected the Midi cables From the Mpc to the souncard correctly. I am specifically trying to find out what settings I need to have in the Properties/Advanced Properties/Options for Cool Edit and what my Mpc Midi/Sync menu should say. I am trying to Slave Cool Edit to the Mpc but if it's easier the slaving the Mpc then tell me. I'm not that picky!

I apologize for the long post ,friends. Just trying to provide all the info I can. You help is always appreciated.

I just use 25 fps, send mmc on on the mpc screen so the mpc transports wil control cool edit, and then set cool edit to the same, 25 fps. I would use 30 but 4 some reason I had trouble syncing with that one, hit f7 to set cool edit to recive midi and then arm a track to record. hit the play buuton on mpc boom!

ya,in the sync menu make the mpc the master,and send MTC out the midi out thats connected to the comp.(i use 30 fps usually)Also you will want to send MMC to enable cool edit's transport controls

In cool edit,have it slave to MTC,and turn on MMC(or put it "online").I usually have at least on measure of silence at the very start of a beat when recording from one to the other while synced because the first note will often get dropped while theyre locking up

I haven't had enough time to really get into it. This guy that works at a music store near my home said it was very powerful. I feel it's very user friendly. after he showed me a dfew tricks, I started to really get into it.

The very helpful thing are the presets for any of your mixing functions. It eliminates the trial and error of having to play with graphs and stuff to get the sound you want for your wav files. That's good for "clueless engineers"
like me It has multitrack capabilites and has a nice feel. I've had it 2 weeks now.

i use it all the time... instead of sampling a large sample into the mpc... and waiting on the slow waveform renderings, etc... i just record straight into cooledit... make some quick chops; delete, etc with the sample.... once i have the pieces cut into seperate wave files i load them in my mpc...
