Sampling Only vs Playing or Playing and Sampling to Compose

hey Lamp! I still come around, not frequent but when I get some time.

I feel like I'm cheating somehow if I play stuff in. I draw the line with playing synth/electric/double bass, coz I hate dealing with samples for bass, if the samples don't have their own. But, for me, the fun/skill is in finding samples that go together, those moments of seredipity, and making a complete song with them.
