I'm thinking of getting a mixer because I am running out of inputs on my audio interface, whats are some good mixers nowadays. I think I saw a few mentions of the tascam model 12 on here. What else basic mixers are there? Preferably something with effects like Eq and such on each channel

I have the Tascam Model12 and I like it a lot. Although I wouldn’t call it a basic mixer as it is also an audio interface and also a multitrack recorder.
There are cheaper options out there if you want more of a basic mixer, like those by Mackie for instance.

Mackie CR1604
Mackie 1402 VLZ series

I use 2 1402's

They can be found for affordable prices and actually sound good, you can step on them and pour drink on them and they still work as well. They're built extremely well.

Since you're not that far off from the city, the 1402 could be found from 100-200, CR1604 can be found for 150-250.
