How To Mount or Read Akai Sample CD-ROM On A MAC Explained

sorry to drag this out the trenches but im having an equally frustrating time converting 3 akai .iso files to wavs.
chickensys translator doesnt read them.
converting them using disk utility using the above instructions creates a .cdr file which doesnt open/mount or is read by any software.
any ideas?

You could try the following:

* Check Yax Anzelm's YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/@yaxanzelm. He has quite a bunch of CD-ROMs.
* Check archive.org for loads of legacy CDs: https://archive.org/details/90s-sample-cds
* Same goes for this page: https://nnty.fun/downloads/other/90ssamplecds/converts/
* Maybe you can get a hand on CDXTRACT? It's really old, but seems to do the job
* If that all doesn't help: MOTU's MACH5 sampler (the Falcon predecessor) reads Akai CDs natively

or...you can just stick the Akai Sample CD-rom in a Roland MV8000 and open them.

translator did it with ease. just had to put the iso files in the images location which can be opened from the menu at the top.
