Yamaha O2r Type internal recording OTB Setup

Hi All been looking around and gear lusting after an old Yamaha O2r or a Yamaha DM2000 Mixing Desk...

My Ideal would be to track arrange and mix in the desk with internal recording... then track to PC and Polish a Little in Ableton before print and publish.

I'm trying to be 90% out the box.

From What I can tell these big sexy beasts from the mid 90's/to early 2ks were only adat controllers not Hard Disk recorders....

This this correct?

Im open to suggestions from any brand.... Perhaps I can use the O2r or DM to record into my pc but never touch it until I print out to ableton?

The O2R is a digital mixer & daw controller, not a recorder. You can have it connected & routed to your audio interface & have it interact with your DAW s/w so it can seem like it's doing the recording.
