Nerd. It will work with your MPC2000. I use it everyday and I have a MPC3000. It offers MPC2000 or 3000 file formats. You should be fine.
Chill and check it out. I've found it to be a lifesaver.
Peace.

It can save to floppy and zip. Again, I use it everyday.
Some questions:
Are you using OSX or OS9.?
Are you saving in the proper sampler format?
Are you taking the samples out of the folder before you drop them into your disks? If you aren't then the MPC2000 nor the MPC3000 cannot see them. That could explain some of your problems.
I know the manual is a little weird. Dude is Japanese and doesn't speak English very well. So, stuff gets lost in translation. But if you spend a few minutes studying it, you'll be content.
Peace.

"it only works on mpc 2000xl i have mpc2000."
It has been a while since I used it, but I know that the MPC2000 will import MPC3000 format. So at a minimum you could export in MPC3000 format and still use it.
