Im trying to find some pretty good not too expensive speakers for my mpc. right now im using the ghetto adapter threw the Phones port to my stereo. This works but I get a slight feedback. What I need is some links to some nice monitors, maybe with a amp. And how to connect them to the mpc 2000xl.

Thanks.

How much you want to spend???
Prices start @ 100 € for Edirol Active Speakers... but i don`t know how that stuff sounds. Tannoy Reveal active Speakers € 222. Alesis Monitor One are passive, you will need an extra Amp, € 222 without amp.

checkout http://www.netzmarkt.de/thomann/thoiw2_index.html , it`s a large online Musikstore in Germany to checkout different products....

If you get some Active Monitors, you can hook the up directly to the
stereo out of the MPC, with passive ones, you have to connect your mpc stereo out to the amp.....

My personal reference are Genelec 1030A, very nice active Monitors, but it`s another League... € 1.300 a pair....

I use Yorkville YSM1 monitors. They also have a pair with a built in amp. They are cheap, pretty rich bass and pretty accurate considering their price. $199.

www.yorkville.com.

Also look at the Beringer Truth monitors. Folks diss the company, but these monitors are thick and rich. Not the best, but better than a lot of pro monitors for just $399.

good luck.

ive got a pair of ALESIS M1 ACTIVE MKII's which i bought for cheaper then Truths

they are obviously much better then the Truths, better bass response and build quality

as for hiphop, they are great. i tested them for a variety of audio work i do, from accoustic vocal stuff to tv adverts (i do studio work) and as for the hiphop sound i took Mosaic thump by De La soul and i was very pleased.

sharp response, not flabby on the bass like the Truths... check it out for yourself
