Sonar and MPC's?

Any of you use Sonar in conjunction with your MPC 4k or any mpc really and how so? I have a few outboard synths and some vsti's that I want to use while sequencing with my MPC. Any of you have experience doing this and know how to set it up????

Sometimes I use Cakewalk ProAudio 9(the last ProAudio version before it became Sonar) and slave my mpc2000xl to it. First I program a beat foundation on the mpc then midi it up and control it from cakewalk, I then record bass, guitar, keyboard or anything else that I want in the beat on the computer and I add effects or just leave the sounds clean. After that I just sample the stuff I recorded on the computer back to the mpc and chop it up and filter so it doesn't sound to live.

I also midi up the mpc when I record someone rapping or singing. If I ever want to edit the beat after the vocals are laid down then I just edit the sequences on the mpc then midi up and the timing is right on.
