Need help with midi connection

Hi, I was wondering if anyone could give me detailed instructions on the following issue..

I have a triton studio and an mpc 2000xl. I am trying to hook up my keyboard to the mpc so that I will be able to play the drums on the pads but play the music on the keys while sequencing both into the mpc. I have been reading both the mpc and triton manual and I just can't figure out how I need to set everything! Can someone please help?? I need no explanations just step by step instructions.
