How to mix mpc and softsynth together ?

Im have a midi keyboard hooked up to the mpc and the mpc hooked up to a pc to control some softsynths. How can i record audio from both sources together into one track? do i need a mixer to do that or is there another way?

There are many ways to do this depending on the equipment you have. A mixer would help , if your computer had multiple outputs . I would probably bounce all the soft synths together on the computer and then record the mpc into your computer in the same program that the softsynths are in , make sure they are synched up. Then bounce the two together to a single stereo track. I am sure others might have different ways but this is how i would do it . Good Luck.

my methods are different then what Platinum described but the mixer is the key element to make things happen

i didnt think of platinums solution. i have multiple outputs on my pc but what i did is recording a finished beat to my pc using sound forge. then i added softsynths and effects using acid 4.0. i dont need all the functions of cubase as all i want to do is add a lead and other sounds not possible on the mpc. also, i can make adjustments to the songtempo easily and can also rearrange some parts from the mpc track if i want to make some changes. but the latter is normally not necessary as it was done already on the mpc.
finally i can just render the miditrack of the softsynths and the audio from my mpc together into one single track.
