I currently own a Fantom X6 with two SRX Cards (Supreme Dance/ World)! Do you think it would be foolish of me to sale them so that I could by a MPC 2500. Thanks for any replies!

Peace :)

What's wrong with your Fantom? Since you alread have it..I would keep that. There is nothing magical/much you can do with the 2500 that you can't do on the Fantom.

But if you do go buy an MPC 2500...you will be welcome to join the family. Hell...you are welcome to join the family without an MPC :D Just know some here are touchy about certain subjects.....

I have both and the interact great together. For a while I had only the fantom X and still made hot tracks. To me the MPC is like and an old hood even after you leave you can't help but to want to go back. If I could do it all again I would have bought the XR and copped the 2500. Perfect what you have and then add to it. You will benefit more in the long run!

I had a MPC 2000xl up until about a year and sold it to buy the Fantom, now I got the MPC blues, because although the fantom is a capable machine, the work flow and feel of the MPC can't be rivaled!! I guess I will just have to sweat it out and wait until next tax season to cop that black beauty.

Peace! :o

I had the 1000 got tired of pad issues. Sold it to get the Fantom X6 but I missed the MPC. So I bought the 2500 last month. What is the music scene like in Tampa? I have rencently moved to Clearwater from Memphis.

why not just buy a used 2000xl and upgrade when ya got the loot. If you look around you should be able to pick one up for $600-800. Dont sell your Roland. Since you have a controller and pads to hit on the Fantom you should consider buying a S3000 if you want a dope sampler or an old EMU esynth. You can find a s3000 real cheap $150 -200.

thats what im doin

i bought a fantom x6 a few weeks ago. I decided to return it and get the xr and get a mpc2500 with it. fantom is nice, but the sampler and sequencer is not the same as on the mpc, especially if you are workin with phrases. plus i miss the mpc.

i was gonna wait to just add them mpc later, but i cant........especially since im use to the mpc4000....(i had to sell  )
