Peace all. I currently have my MPC hooked up to my home stereo and have the audio outs routed to a channel on my receiver named "Video 1". I have the audio ins routed to the "Tape" output on my receiver. This works, I can sample anything that is connected to my reciever and I can hear my MPC through the reciever.

However, last night I was playing a record and reconnecting the MPC and I noticed that once I plugged my cables back into the back of the MPC for the audio outs the sound on the record I was playing was lowered. Not distorted or anything like that, just lowered a couple of notches. Is that anything to be concerned about? The sounds I sample sound fine, no distortion or anything like that.

Also, how do most people have their MPCs hooked up? Via a DJ mixer and their home stereo? DJ mixer and an amp? Any recommendations on mixers or amps to buy?

Thanks in advance for any feedback.

I wouldn't lose sleep about it bro. Sometimes when you hook up more sources to an amp, it will just make the levels go down a little. Maybe it will ad a tiny bit of noise as well, so if you want to get the cleanest possible sound just disconnect it during sampling.
