I'm not sure which forum this would go in, but enviroments sounds about right. Currently I'm fleshing out my studio at home. When I go to school I have access to just about everything I could need, unfortunately for working on my own projects I have to book time and really can't afford that.

I have two things on my list to pick up fairly soon, a yamaha 01v96 and an mpc 1k. THe thing is, my desk really isn't the largest one in the world due to me living in a studio apartment. I have some rack space in it filled with a few useful goodies (a few synths, sound card, digi002, patch bay and some out board effects gear here soon).

The mixer and mpc unfortunately can't be racked or fit in the rack space built into the desk. I'm looking for some sort of clamp on shelf to attach to either side of the desk to give me a raise platform to put them on. Any suggestions?

Thanks for answering the question. I'd rather purchase something that I know won't break. I'm not exactly what you'd consider mechanical engineering inclined. Sure I can build shelves and random things like that, but putting something that costs around 2 grand onto something that has a higher chance of breaking isn't my cup of tea.

Yo Maz, check out musician's friend website. Click on the recording tab and in the browse section to the left, scroll down to studio furniture. I just recently bought the Studio RTA mix station for $100. They have other workstation desks also, but this one was in my price range. They had other desks ranging from $100 to $700. Hope you find something you can use...

You can get a stand for the MPC and the mixer... put them to the left and right of you. Look around, alot of professinal studios have stands fro them.
