setting up soundcard with cooleditpro

ive got it working now playing and recording in soundforge but cant get it to record into cool edit pro 2.1 put it is playing back sounds ive already got saved in there.

its an audiophile 2496.
anybody know how to set it up in cool edit?

ok ive got that part sorted out now.

now ive got another problem
ive got my mpc midi out plugged into the soundcard midi in and when i play a sequence it misses out the very start of the beat. how can i stop it doing that?
