Advice...?

I live right across the bridge in NJ, but I spend a lot of time between here NY and Boston. I called there earlier and they are out of the PG. Not a big deal. I never checked that place out, but I am always in the area hitting up different record spots out there.

I saw mad records today, but just had to cop some Stonesthrows stuff and the new squarepusher, I got so many records I haven't even checked out yet, I have to take it a little easy on the dusty diggin.

I know a nice record store in Jersey if you are into diggin. They can really use the business and I wouldn't be surprized if they aren't around too much longer; real big dollar bin, and a ton of rock, funk, soul, and movie sound tracks. Almost as big as Bleaker Bob's, but no way as expensive and picked over. Anyone from Jersey or NYC interested hit me on PM and I'll give you the name of the place and number of the place.

You should really think about getting an ASR10 or ASRX and sequence it wtih your MPC, it has nasty effects built in to mangle your samples to your heart's content... not tomention better filters also. Or even a cheaper option would be the EPS 16, the older version of the asr10. El-P uses the EPS 16. If you just want your samples to sound grittier, dirtier, more nasty, you can always get a s950 and it would be ok, but I usually try to dirty up my samples myself. If you really know how to mess with your MPC it can be nasty. I admit it has limits but sometimes working around your sampler's limits can be so much more fun.
