Ableton and the MPC are my main soundsources. Not sure what you mean by "inside Ableton" though.
I use MPC as my main clock and sync Ableton to it along with all my other synths.

what I mean is using the mpc 1000 as an instrument, sort of like you can re-wire in Reason, or use Reaktor4 as a plug in. this way Live is your brain or master. maybe i'm trying to do it backwards. maybe i can do it nside plogue bidule, which is itself re-wired to Live?
i'm not sure i know how to set it up as you suggested, but i'll see what i can find out and do. thanks for the advise.

I just run all my stuff through an outboard mixer and then record it back in to the PC mixed down.
If you set the MPC to slave to Live, set one of your tracks to "live in" input, run the outs of the MPC in to the inputs on your PC and monitor through Live it might do what you want.
