hy fellers!
m havin an annoyin problem which i don't even know in which forum to post so here we go!
i am using an mpc 4k and yesterday when disconnecting the jack cables (1/4 TS ... in english i think!) from my rec in the very top part of the cable (Tip i guess!) just didn't come out with the rest of the cable and now sticks in there!!! ... can u believe it? my beautiful sampler now can't even record anymore!
well, meanwhile i ve messed around half afternoon with a tweezer to get the **** out there but no chance! and i ve also opened the mpc to see whether i can reach the slot from inside but well ... honestly i was scared to cause even more damages! so my quest, do i have to bring the mpc to an akai supporter (that would take weeks if not months's to get it back and thus is the way which should be avoided) or is this somethin an electrician is able to remove!
and: anyone out there had a similar prob and removed it on its own?
and another question for which this forum may suite very well! ... and i have to admit (and don't want to camplain coz i luv my setup!): i don't have a lucky moment with my setup! 3 weeks ago i facked up my mackie's (sr 24 4 2 mixer!) phantom power! it is in repair and its comin back soon! maybe that was my fault cause i may not have switched it off or on correctly! however i want to avoid to damage it again! question: what do u switch off/on before: the power of the mixer or its phantom power?
I usually when switching on switch on first the phantom power then the power button! switching off firts the power then the phantom thing! is this correct?
also if your connecting/disconnecting a mic are you shooting the phantom switch off befror conecting/disonnecting?
thanx for any advice!
