It depends on how many tracks you typicaly use in your beats and how complex the arrangement is. If you're working with an 8 bar loop that doesn't change except for maybe bringing in a different element for the chorus, you can dump just eight bars of each instrument and copy them down in pro tools. Automate or apple+M your mutes. If, however your arrangemt changes a lot and you have to dump each track from beginning to end then yes it will take a considerable amount of time. Remeber to use SONG MODE and add a blank bar to the beginig of the sequence because the MP will jump slightly when it sees time code.
