How long have you had your mpc... - And how long did it take you to get one?

got mine last september, i've been making music for years, and have wanted an mpc for the last 3 or so years....ever since I realized that dj shadow used one I have desired it....I can't say i've mastered the song mode, but its great for writing original beats, I just can't seem to ever find samples im really happy with. The drums just never sound good enough....
