Time Stretch Programs?

My apologies if this has been asked previosly. I've searched the forums and don't have a conclusive answer.

I have a MPC 1000 and just got recycle 2.1 . Super nice.... Unfortuantly I didn't find that recycle has real time streatching. It just adds "ghost" sounds at the end of slices. Works well but is not "real" time stretching.

Does anyone know of a good shareware program for time stretching for MAC OS X?

I've been looking for the same thing, Im on a mac os x also.

Check out Nuendo, It's supposed to be one of the best editing programs out there(mac or pc). It comes at a price though.

Nuendo is bit more then I need price and feature wise. I also am trying to keep my time at the MAC to a minimum so really just looking for a decent sound editor with Time Stretch capabilies.

Something like Audacity or Peak....

Without a doubt, Prosoniq Timefactory is the best. They have a stand alone for Mac and PC. Their MPEX technology(as they call it) is going to be used in more third party software venders. Nuendo and Cubase SX use it but it is cheaper to buy the stand alone from them. It might be a bit expensive for you but if you can get it it is worth it.

check out Ableton Live 3, the real time time scretching is some of the best

but between Nuendo and Cubase SX, its the same program but Nuendo has more post editing shit basically for video and etc, just pick up SX, you don't need any of the extra unless you plan on doing some video

Initially Nuendo was designed for post/video, and Cubase for for musical, but they kinda combined the features of the 2, just a little info
