I copped this and been really starting to mess around with it and my MPC 2000xl. I went to sample my turntable, but I never got any sound on my MPC and my MPC is hooked through the MFC and all. Do I have to hook up the MFC and MPC as Midi outs and ins cuz they re plugged in that way? Trying to just figure out how to sample some stuff up so I can chopp it and lay it!. Thanks

Midi is for the weak - I'm joking it's a industry standard that has changed the way we write music but it's not going to help you get sound out of your MPC

My advice

get some send and return cables so it acts as a insert on your mixer channels that your MPC2000xl is running through

Or you could direct stereo out of your 2000 into the MFC

If your not getting sound try turning the filter cutoff either left or right as your signal might be getting filtered out

Thanks son! I have the MFC and the holder and cables and they are all plugged in...MIDI in, MIDI out, stereo in, stereo out and whatever, I'm going through the manual and it's telling me to set the Midi number which I'm trying to do and I can hear my turntable when I play or get feedback, but when I went to sample it had no connection or etc.
