I have a behringer 2442-fxpro mixer with four buses. What would be some good applications for them. I use them to group tracks together or ex. if i want to send out to a second sampler. But when usin effets how would that work? if u could break down what bussin techs or applications u use.

well im not exactly familar with your mixer, but i can tell you some common uses of buses.

you got one already, group them up and be able to have several tracks all go to one bus. can you put insert effects on your mixer, on the buses? cuz that way you could group all your drum tracks to a stereo bus, then slap a compressor on that bus so you could compress your whole kit.

or you could use the buses as effect returns. im not sure if your mixer already has effect return channels designated, but if it doesnt, there you go.

well actually, i just looked up your mixer, and it appears your only option is to group. you cant put any fx on your bus.

I send them to the sound card inputs, then you just hit the button and assign the channels you want to record to indi tracks in the computer and you straight.
