What up everybody...I recently up my arsenal with an mpc1k...the problem is being new to the setup i have been left scratchin my head over a few issues...
So here it goes... As i said i have a mpc1k, portable turntable and an older keyboard with midi in and outs..I do not under stand how to get 1 the turntable to sample mono l/r (not on the mpc but the the source comin in it)...and 2 the keyboard to record live through the mpc...I have a felling that my missing link to my equation is a mixer i have been using a reciever but that is not workin correctly. Do i need a mixer to function sampling mono correctly as well as to be able to use my keyboard...(what should i look for in a mixer to do all these things if so?) I hope someone can understand this if and anyone could help make sense of my dilemma i would appreciate it.
if some could jus explain the importance of a mixer and what it can do handshakin with an mpc that would be helpful also.
