If you just want to trigger vst instruments fl is not your best choice.
In Ableton Live for example i can open 16 instruments, set each to one midi channel. Then i´ll just play them from the mpc, record the notes into sequences etc. No sync needed just mpc midi out->pc midi in.
In FL you can record to one track at a time, so you either use only one instrument or you have to record the midi inside of FL, then you have to sync the mpc and FL. But Fl doesnt allow to be synced as a slave. Now you have to connect midi in both directions and have to control start/stop from fl.

To answer your question:
Midi out MPC-> midi in PC
Midi out PC -> midi in MPC
In FL go to Midi Settings, click on your midi in port and click the "enable" checkbox.
Click on your midi outport and activate "send master sync".
On the mpc go to midi/sync and select midi clock for sync in, activate mmc.
Go to an empty track and select the midi out (1A or 1B)

Edit: just noticed, fl syncs as slave too. Theres no option for that, it just does this automatically. Sometimes i´m really wondering what the developers of FL are thinking...

if youve ever been on looptalk, gol is kind of a cocky prick who thinks that they are going above and beyond other apps. he rufuses to fix the 1 midi controller at a time issue. i asked him to put some features in fpc to make it more like an mpc, which is what its trying to be, and he refused(i just asked for timestretch, pitchshift and a mono pad/program selection). from what i can tell, they dont really want to be a recording app, they want to be an instrument app with recording capabilities.

I´ve been waiting for a simple "sample start" parameter since fl 3, they added a "amp env delay"

Just been playing around with fl8, theres a generator plugin that animates a dancing manga girl, controllable by midi.... WTF?

The concept got so much potential, workflow for beats is really good and some features (esp. the modulation) are nowhere else to be found, but the updates are bad jokes for the biggest part.

The new division of the playlist suggest that its going in the audiorecording/ sequencing direction, but its just done so bad...

Like the new sliceX though.

the split playlist has been there for awhile. one portion for sequence blocks, the other for clips(audio, pattern). but again, they refuse to mainstream them. the clips section could be redone so that there are some type of controls on the right hand side. i never knew how handy they were until i got pt.

and fl chan, the dancing girl, wtf is right. i understand if you want to implement some fun into the program, but some standard audio app functions should be put into place first. fl is a great tool, but somewhere along the line they seemed to have zigged when they should have zagged.

riseout: I tried what you said but on my MPC under MIDI/SYNC there's nothing called "Activate MMC" or "Midi Clock for Synch In"

Why isn't there?? What am I doing wrong?
