actually, mcsmooth knows exactly what i'm trying to do, and he answered my question about the mpc4k.
thanks for the tip on the Bitstream 3X. never heard of this thing before, but it does look pretty useful.
i want to use the mpc's LFO to control kore. or atleast get the lfo to modulate q-link after i assign the q-link to control what ever i want in kore via midi learn. if kore had an assignable LFO to begin with, i would have never posted this topic at all.
kore it self does not have any LFO's you can assign to control anything. but that doesn't matter anymore since i discovered all the the sounds are coming from a VST afterall... i can just go into the VST, and mess w/the LFO's there. worst case scenario, i can just sample into emulator x2, and take it from there.
remember, kore is not a synth. it's a host. a lot of the parameters that you can control in kore is actually controling the VST, not kore itself. say you're playing a patch from massive inside kore. you start rotating the knob labeled "cutoff" in kore... you're actually modifying massive's cutoff filter, not any filter that kore comes with.
kore doesn't have a mod matrix like the mpc. it has a sound matrix, or what ever they call it... but it's definately not a mod matrix like the mpc, or patchchords type set up like emulator.
