making your own drum sounds

yo, a i know most everyone here has an mp, but i know some don't yet, for the cats who use a computer or like making/editing samples on a cpu
i found a lil program that will let you make layered drums
it's called stomper, and you can have i think as many layers as you want
you can add wav samples and mix them with others or you can mix them with waveshapes (sine,tri, square,saw)
or you can make your own drums from scractch, they will be more synthetic, but with wav samples you can at a fat drum sound and lace it with a sine wave and adjust the amplitude and attack and make it fat, and when you are done save it as a wav sample

jus thought this might be useful, i think i can't hurt, plus it's free

Yeah, Stomper sounds great. You can also use it for synth sounds.

that ish is wack.. straight up.. you don't need software to make your own drums. Layer your drums and put em in a seperate channel in your mixer. Eq each sound till your desire.. add effects, compressors.. whatever, and when your done, re-sample it.. voila.
If your don't have all that, just layer your drums and call it a day.. a snare with a clap that you layered is still your own personal drum sound right?
I used that stomper.. it was cool at the time.. but knowing what I know now....waste of time.

i don't know if i would say it is wack, i haven't begun to use it yet, it looked like a program cats could use, i layer drums in tracks but it would be nice to save the sound outside of the song, plus i don't have an mp yet

If you have a subtractive synthesizer (hardware or software, doesn't matter), you can easily make your own synthetic drums.

If anyone wants it, I have a nord modular patch for generating random drum hits. Just feed it 8ths and sample a minute of it running, then pick the sounds that work (most of them are rubbish, but sometimes I get really good sounds for very little work),
