logic express midi HEEELLLPP!

trying to sync my mpc1000 jjos1 with logic express. no matter what i've done , i cant get the mpc to act like a slave and follow the logic clock. please help ... im die'n , cant record cause i can't mix down right , its killing me.

why wouldnt you sync logic to the MPC and arm the tracks for rec and set-up your beat in song mode and track it that way? it keeps the rhythm of the mpc while keeping all all the tracks lined up.
